Nick is a fantastic coach who truly helped me throughout my athletic career. There are qualities in Nick’s programs that you do not find with other Strength and Conditioning Coaches. He is always willing to listen to the athlete. Most young athletes want their voice to be heard or at least acknowledged. When I wanted to learn the Olympic lifts, Nick listened to me and integrated these types of lifts directly into my program. Nick does not just train you, but he educates you. From the get-go, you understand he’s trying to share his knowledge, so you feel comfortable on your own or if you’re lucky enough to continue an athletic career in college. Nick emphasizes how to balance a diet and exercise, the importance of sleep, hydration and recovery, while still maintaining the expectation that his athletes give 100% effort in all facets of being an athlete. If you want to be great at your sport, everything you do in your everyday life is either pushing you towards your goal or pulling you further away. I finished playing NCAA Athletics two years ago, I still utilize all the information I learned under Nick. That’s something that will always stay with me, and it also showed me how much he truly cares. What Nick preaches to Athletes will not only help them be a successful athlete but will help them be the best person possible while maintaining a healthy lifestyle following the end of their athletic career.

Regarding Nick Andre:
Nick was my personal trainer for a period of over 2 years.
Due to a move, we had to end it.
I liked Nick as a trainer in that he listened and mixed it up.
I enjoyed how I felt and looked after spending some time with him.
It was a nice balance of Cardio and Weights.
I was 54-56 and he balanced the workout very well for me.
If you are younger, I know he can defiantly set it up for you.
Male or Female, young or not so young, Nick will get you where you want to be.
Give him a shot.

Nick Andre is not a “personal trainer” – Nick Andre is a LIFE coach, and not the motivational influencer you see on Instagram type. First and foremost he helped me understand that fitness and nutrition is a lifestyle. As a former athlete (i.e. someone who felt very comfortable in the gym and exercised on a daily basis), I could never have imagined how much more motivated I could become until I started working with Nick. His expertise in exercise science and physiology is second to none, as are his insights on how to craft any workout regimen to address the concerns of the client. Nick is a great listener with the amazing ability to take in your requirements (for example: weight loss, strength training, conditioning increase, flexibility measures, etc.) and translate those requirements into a meaningful workout plan that WORKS! As part of your PERSONALIZED workout plan, Nick makes sure to address your caloric intake to ensure that you are not just addressing the physical piece of the regimen (workouts), but also promoting a lifestyle of healthy living – from your diet to your overall mentality of a fit lifestyle. The best part of working with Nick is that he takes the time to explain every piece of the regimen: Nick will not just tell you WHAT you are doing, but he will give you the WHY you are taking part in this program, with granular specifics and step-by-step details.
After working with Nick on multiple occasions and tackling different goals each time, I've come away feeling very strongly that he enables his clients to become what they want by guiding with knowledge, driving with detailed direction and instilling confidence that you have what it takes to reach your goal. That confidence helps encourage consistent work that in time will transform your life in a way that is unique to what you really want! Don’t think twice if you are contemplating a jumpstart in your daily fitness!

My name is Connor and I started working with Nick in 2013 as a high school sophomore athlete with really zero knowledge of strength and conditioning. I knew what a weight room was and that most high level athletes trained in a facility like that, but I didn’t have a good grasp on what to do or how to do it. As I continued to put in the hours with Nick I saw my knowledge and strength grow immensely, and my knowledge of how and why we did things grew as well. I never had aspirations of being a professional athlete, or even a D-1 athlete, but my goal was to be the best version of myself I could be. That was always good enough for me because Nick instilled the belief in me that 99% don’t go pro; we’re here to work on ourselves physically AND mentally. We’re here to grow as young men/woman. Now as a senior in college, currently participating in my final season of football, I can say without a doubt I’ve achieved everything I wanted in more, I wasn’t just ready for each new season that approached, I feel ready now for life.
I remember there was a time not to long ago that I could not squat over 135lbs without my hamstrings and knees hurting. It certainly didn’t look good either and felt even worse. Through Nick’s programming over the years I was able to add over 200lbs to my squat. That’s just one small example of how his programming helped me achieve more in the weight room. If you play in college you’ll understand how meaningful it is to get a compliment from your strength coach because you’ve been putting in great work in the off-season.
Another huge benefit of training with Nick was injury prevention. Before him I constantly had bumps, bruises, aches and pains. For the last six years I’ve been in the best shape of my life and that also meant much less aches and pains and minor injuries AND quicker recovery when small things did come up. All of his athletes are well rounded, and we train the right way so we can stay on the field where we want to be. Health is wealth in athletics.
Lastly, I just want future athletes and parents to know how much he cares. When you become part of The Athlete’s Blueprint Family, you don’t just get a strength coach but you get someone who genuinely cares about your growth and development. Nick doesn’t train any two athletes the same way because he understands every athlete is different. What I have learned from nick over these last 6 years will help me for the rest of my life because I feel like I know how to train and eat the right way and more importantly how to do my best to be a good human being. I can honestly say I wouldn’t have been able to do that without his help.

I started training with Nick my freshman year of high school I had a vision to improve as an athlete and get stronger both physically and mentally. That first winter Nick prepared me to compete and excel at the varsity level that spring as a younger player on a team filled with returning great players. When I first started though, I didn't understand my body or how to properly lift weights. Nick understood that and put together a program that would address my weaknesses and help me move properly AND seemed to be available 24/7 if I ever had a question about anything. The effects of training with Nick were noticeable throughout my high school career and I am continuing to reap the rewards as a collegiate athlete because of those early years where my foundations were built by Nick. I am grateful to Nick for his help with my successes as an athlete and his help with becoming a mature young man.

When my brother and I started with Nick, I was personally recovering from multiple foot surgeries in preparation for my senior year of high school lax. Nick went above and beyond to make me a more powerful and well-rounded athlete prior to my injuries. It wasn't about how much you could lift. it was form and control and depth and understanding what we were doing or trying to accomplish. As a life long athlete who has worked with multiple strength coaches from different backgrounds, Nick was second to none. I remember all the unique exercises and movements we'd do and how he always told us what he wanted to see AND demonstrated how to properly do it. His attention to detail made me care about training. I accepted the challenge because he told me this is what it took to improve performance, and I didn't want to get hurt again. If you're working with Nick, absolutely expect some tough love...but also expect results!

I started working with Nick early in high school and the time put in with him has paid off immensely and continues to do so. I was not the most athletic kid by nature, but as soon as I started training under Nick, my ceiling of potential for my athletic ability grew drastically. I was always relatively strong, but to be a great athlete requires much more than just strength. Nick taught me that it requires speed, quickness, agility, and mobility, among countless other aspects, all of which I would not have acquired if it were not for my time spent with Nick. In addition, I have obtained improvements in strength that I otherwise would not have been able to. Nick knows very well what makes a great athlete and has equipped me with these aspects. The effects of training with Nick were apparent throughout my high school career, as my increased athletic ability allowed me to perform on the football field at a level that I never thought I could. The growth that comes from working with Nick is what allowed me to begin playing football at the Division 1 level for Yale University and play in every game as a freshman. I have experienced injuries and setbacks that are discouraging at times, but Nick's methods and approaches have always set me back on the right track. Working with Nick has helped gotten me this far, so as long as my athletic career is still going, I will be training under Nick.

After high school, my body was in a very awkward state due to a a giant growth spurt late in my career. I grew 7 inches in a summer but i didn't gain much weight after that. i was 6'3" 160. i was recruited to play lacrosse at Trinity college and played goalie. i was behind an all american where it didn't seem like i had a chance to play but because of my athletic ability that my coach saw, he wanted to move me from goalie to long stick middie. I came to Nick because i needed speed, strength and explosiveness that i just did not have. Nick showed me how to lift properly with perfect technique. i was able to maximize strength while increasing fast twitch and slow twitch muscles. my Junior year i started for my team that made it to the NCAA tournament for the first time in History. my weightlifting and conditioning test percentage increases from sophomore to junior year were the highest on the team. I continued to work with Nick all the way through to my senor year where I started at close defense. I remained one of the fastest on the team and by far the best conditioned. i was Top 10 in the conference for Caused turnovers and was named Defensive MVP. without the help of Nick, I would most likely be sitting on that bench wishing i did more with myself. He changed the way i approached lifting and improving myself. I was the fastest, strongest and best conditioned I have ever been in my life thanks to Nick

A quick story about why I started training with Nick, what we did and where it got me:
I started training with Nick the summer I graduated with from South Side High School in Rockville Centre, New York, prior to taking a post-graduate year for lacrosse at Deerfield Academy. Throughout high school, I had developed a sufficient routine for training my on the field skills (stick work, shooting, etc.) which helped me to excel but never put nearly enough concentration into my physical preparedness and well-being to really further my game. I contacted Nick because as I went into my PG year, uncommitted to a university while still having aspirations of playing Division I lacrosse, I knew I would need to be in peak physical shape in order to hit my playing ceiling.
When I first started with Nick, I had already hit my growth spurt but wanted to develop my body now that I was fully-grown. I was, and still am, a generous 5’8’’ in height and was approximately 175 pounds with most of my body composition being undeveloped muscle and body fat in awkward places. I wanted to convert that into lean and explosive muscle to increase my strength and speed while not losing size. Nick guided me how to properly and safely lift while perfecting my techniques in order to increase my injury resistance and maximize lifts. These lifts were split into categories of posterior, exterior and anterior exercises coupled with on field lateral and linear stretch, footwork and sprint sessions to assure we were utilizing the muscles that have allowed me to be as fast, strong and explosive as I have ever been. Additionally, aside from physical exercise, Nick worked with me to refine my eating habits and develop diet for the better to further assure we were getting the most out of his program, allow for peak performance and living a healthy life.
That following spring season at Deerfield, I was fortunate enough to have worked myself onto the first midfield line although being uncommitted amongst a team with about twenty Division I lacrosse commits. It was the most productive season I had ever had. I truly could, and still do, feel the physical difference and ahead of my competition while performing on the field after having gone through and continuing Nick’s program. After Deerfield, I was granted the opportunity to walk onto the Providence College Men’s Lacrosse team in the Division I Big East Conference. Knowing that it was either perform exceptionally well or be cut, I returned to Nick again the following summer and continued our progress. The more I trusted Nick and followed his program, the harder he pushed me and the more the results kept showing. By that point, I had completely transformed my physical appearance. I reduced my body fat percentage and really started to see definition and performance from my developed muscles I had never experienced before.
Although I would end up transferring schools from Providence College to Division III Union College of the Liberty League after a few changes of interest, I have kept training with Nick all along the way to remain and increase peak performance. Prior to this past season, my weightlifting and conditioning percentages hit numbers I was never anywhere close to. My body has transformed and developed exponentially in ways I couldn’t have imagined as well. I recently just finished my junior season while starting at short-stick defensive midfielder. Trusting and dedicating myself to Nick’s program has abled me to cover and run with some of the more athletic players on the field in Division III throughout the duration of games and for the entirety of a season. And although I am almost four years separated from when I first started training with Nick, each year I have seen continuing progress due a culmination of trusting his program which has help me to completely transform my body into the best physical shape I have ever been in. Without Nick’s dedication and support I truly would not be able to keep up with competitive collegiate athletics. I owe Nick immense credit for my on field success, matured work ethic and devotion to a healthier and longer lifestyle. I couldn’t be more anxious to attack the grind again this summer as I prepare for my senior season

Former High School Athlete
I was in the process of gaining weight for my senior football season at Oceanside High School, where I was the starting inside linebacker. I was going through weight training programs that were working, but I wasn’t achieving my goals the way I wanted to. I wanted to gain the right kind of weight while also getting faster. I went to Nick to work on my quickness and mobility, while being able to put on more muscle for the upcoming season. Nick provided me with a meal plan that consisted of different meals I should eat, how often I should eat, as well as providing me with correct insights about my sleeping habits that will allow my body to take full advantage of my training. When I started with Nick my first 40 time was 5.3 seconds and I weighed 175lbs. By the end of our training my last 40 time was 4.9 seconds and I weighed 195lbs. Over the course of the summer I was able to gain 20lbs of lean muscle while dropping .4 seconds off my 40 time. During that season, I was second on my team in tackles and was named the 2013 Nassau County Scholar Athlete. I was one of the best conditioned kids on my team and was in the best shape of my life because of the training I received from Nick.
Nick Nigro
Former Collegiate Athlete / Current Collegiate Football Coach
Hello my name is Nicholas Nigro I am a 19 year old starting linebacker at Nassau Community College. I grew up playing football and lacrosse as my two favorite sports but as I came closer to my senior year I knew I had to pick one for college. I ultimately decided to attend the University of Tampa on a lacrosse scholarship. I decided to not play the sport closer to my heart in order to give myself and my family the most affordable option for college. After a year at Tampa I found myself in academic trouble which forced me to leave school. I came back home and decided I would chase my dream to play football collegiately. I came to Nick because at the time I was almost 2 years out of playing in my last football game. I was small, somewhat slow, and had no clue on what I needed to do to be a college football player. When I first came to Nick I was 204 pounds. I can happily say today almost exactly a year from my first workout with Nick that I am 222 pounds. I have increased my bench from 305 to 355, my squat from 395 to 455, and my deadlift from 375 to 450. I dropped time on my 40 yard dash from a 4.91 to a 4.69 in just 3 months of training. I walked on to Nassau community college as a projected scout team player and special team player. Within a week of playing at Nassau I became a starting linebacker and started every game of the season. I was 3rd on the team in tackles as well. I have won every single conditioning test for my position since I’ve been at Nassau and have also been top 3 in our 225 lb bench press competition among the entire team both times we have done it at Nassau. I am now going on my 2nd season at Nassau and will be starting at linebacker again. I now have many 4 year colleges recruiting me and will have many options to decide from on where to finish my collegiate career. While these physical are very impressive, the most I’ve really gained from Nick was on the mental spectrum.
When I first started working with Nick I was a troubled kid going down the wrong path. I had no care for academics, and I constantly was getting in trouble. Nick made it very clear to me that if I kept doing things the way I did them I would never be successful not only in football, but in life. Now a year later I am a 3.1 GPA student excelling academically and athletically. Throughout the past year there has been no one that has influenced my life and helped me grow into the young man I am today as much as Nick Andre has. He’s been a great coach, trainer, but an even better mentor.

I'll never forget the response I received the first time I casually asked Nick for some gym advice: "Lift something."
And so began my training journey! I never expected that two words would eventually become an important part of my life. Although I had gone to the gym routinely, I quickly learned that my workouts were not productive and I wasn't making any progress. I am not a former athlete and at the time, I wasn't training for any sporting event or competition. I simply wasn't 100% happy with myself and I was looking for direction.
I would soon uncover a very disciplined, passionate, and professional side to someone I've known for a very long time. I'm so grateful that Nick suggested I give personal training serious consideration and I couldn't be more satisfied with my training experience. Nick has been the kind of trainer who constantly challenged me, and pushed me to new limits - sometimes whether I liked it or not. There is an unspoken "no excuses" policy when you train with Nick. Your physical results will be a testament to that if you're consistent and develop the right mindset. I can honestly say I left every session (and there have been many) feeling like a million bucks. No exaggeration. There is no better feeling than knowing you exceeded your own expectations and knowing you are one step closer to the best version of yourself.
If you asked me two years ago if I thought I could handle 200+ lbs for a squat or deadlift, I probably would have looked behind me to see who you were talking to...Now, and especially as a woman, I take pride in my personal accomplishments and enjoy feeling strong while challenging my body. Since training with Nick, I've gained a new appreciation for my strength and it has been extremely motivating to know that these changes are not temporary. The last two years of training have been transformative to say the least, both physically and mentally, and I'm lucky to have been led by Nick on this journey!
